New Video - Bottling Makgeolli

New Video - Bottling Makgeolli

Hello everyone! This is my first real post on the LightningSpore Ghost blog! I am glad you are all here!

Currently LightningSpore is overseas in Korea, and one of our many hobbies and/or side hustles is brewing Makgeolli, which is Korean rice wine. While it is not quite "mushroom growing", fermentation utilizes yeast, which is a type of fungus, so that counts right?!

Before we shipped off to Korea, we filmed a video of us bottling our brew, and today we finally publish. Check it out!

The makgeolli ended up being a big hit in Korea. Especially with my very limited Korean, it gave me something tangible to show that I am trying hard to embrace the culture. It is my father-in-law's favorite drink, and especially with the language barrier, a little alcohol liquid courage, helps bring us closer together.

Bonus: If you make it to the end of the video, you will see the custom label I made for the makgeolli bottle. This was the first time I made a bottle for my brew and it turned out great! I will link an image here too.

This is not all fun and games either. I plan to add a makgeolli brewing kit to the https://lightningspore.com shop when I get back to the USA.

Thank you all for reading, keep an eye out for the next one!
